A Special Thanks

A Yorkie is a precious gift
Sent from God up above
To brighten our dull lives
And fill our hearts with love.

Only God up in Heaven
Could create such a delight
As a little bundle of energy
That's full of love, fun and fight.

Laughter is the best medicine,
So the Bible says
And nothing can be funnier
Then a Yorkie in a mess.

So when you see your Yorkie
Bow your head and pray
And thank God up above
For the "precious gift" He gave.

I'm glad that God loves us enough to give us Yorkies. They are wonderful. Did you know that they aren't the only precious gift he's given us? He also gave us His own Son. Why did he do that? He did it so that we could have everlasting life and spend eternity with him (John 3:16).

Here, I better start at the beginning.
We are all born sinners (Romans 3:23). God is holy and cannot tolerate sin but He loved us enough to not want us punished. He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins (1 Peter 3:18) so that we could be saved. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead. That's good news because He is the only way for us to have eternal life (John 14:6).
We have to be willing to accept this gift of eternity from God just like we accepted the gift of our precious Yorkie babies.. Why would we want it? Why would you not want to know Him better. He loves you and wants to be a part of your life. To be a friend when you need one, someone that is always there for you and will never let you down. Who doesn't need someone like that?
How do you do it? Well, it's pretty easy. All ya have to do is confess that Jesus is God's Son and that he died and was raised to save you from your sins and then you have to believe it. Not just say it, but believe it with your heart (Romans 10:9-10). You don't even have to do this in front of a big crowd or at an altar. You can do it where ever you're comfortable. When you pray, just act like you're talking to an old friend - because you are!

Congratulations!
You are now a member of a very wonderful family -
the Family of God!

Your next few steps are very important now. First, you need a Bible. If you don't have one, you can follow my link below to TBN. If you request one from them, they will send you one free of charge. Next, READ IT! Everything you need to know is in that book. Find a church that you are comfortable in and they will help you to understand it. Visit around until you find a church that's right for you. Pray EVERYDAY. He is your best friend now so go to Him with questions, fears and even your triumphs. He wants you to talk to Him about everything.
