Helping Families and Individuals in Need

the state to increase services to the poor in our area.

Mission Statement

About Us
In 1989, a group of concerned citizens formed the HOPE Foundation, Inc. to help families and individuals in need. It was formed in Searcy County, Arkansas and is the only grass roots, non-secular emergency and resource center in the area. It is a volunteer operated, non-profit organization. Local volunteers invest their talents and efforts in helping others at their point of greatest need.

Originally, the HOPE Foundation focused on domestic abuse problems. A 24 hour hot line was set up and answered by a compassionate, well trained volunteer bound by an oath of confidentiality. Volunteers are trained to resolve problems, diffuse situations and handle emergencies. As calls came in, it was obvious that domestic violence was not the only problem in our area. Poverty, unemployment, sickness, homelessness, substance abuse and lack of education were all symptoms families
in poverty face every day.

HOPE began to work with other agencies and the community to find ways to help solve these situations. Our goal is to assist and support families and individuals in their efforts to become healthy, active, responsible members of our community.
