HoBBiTcaTs & WavorgoNaked Nursery Babies are fragile when they're born. Our kittens are no exception. Anything that begins life weighing mere ounces needs to be protected and given time to grow. This is my time with our babies, for this first 16 to 18 weeks of their lives. I get to watch them grow and I get to worry about it if they don't. There are so many things that can go wrong in those early weeks of life. Beginning with mom laying or stepping on them, or the possibility that a germ will pass through the room and up the nose of an immature immune system, maybe a digestive system that just doesn't kick in and work as it should. Any of those things and a hundred more can take them away from me. At around 12 to 16 weeks old our kittens hit a growth stage. I pick them up one day and they just feel different. Yesterday they were tiny little things that fit so well in my hand, today they are solid, heavier, more than a comfortable handful. That's one of my days of greatest joy, it's the day I've waited to see since before they were born, they're going to be fine. It's also bittersweet, it means that this baby is just about ready to go to their new forever family and I'll miss the sweetness that they brought into my life. | |||||||
Available Kittens 2 Black Dwelf Boys - $3500 pet each
Blue and White Bambino Boy - $2500 pet IF we have kittens available they'll be posted here with pictures & prices. I'm sorry, the demand for these kittens is far greater than the supply. I could spend many hours a day responding to emails & if I didn't have a full time job & a family I would enjoy nothing better than talking about these cats all day, but realistically there just aren't enough hours to get everything done. I want to answer each email & I feel horrible about the ones that I never get back to, but if there are not kittens pictured here on our available page, then there's just not much more to say. I can't tell you when one will be available, or if it will be available as a pet or breeder, I don't make that decision until they're 12 - 14 weeks old, as soon as I know I'll post all their info here, until then if I don't answer your email inquiry it's simply because there are none available, so please don't be offended. Those first 16 to 18 weeks are mine. They're the time that I get to protect and enjoy the kittens that we introduce to this world. They're absolutely darling. Tiny naked creatures, eyes still sealed shut, they are just so helpless those first days. But then the days go by and those little eyes open and they gain size and strength and it won't be long before they're crawling out of the nest box and then wailing to be put back in, that's when we lower the sides on the bed so they can crawl back and forth on their own. Not many days after that they begin to try to "taste" mom's food, that's when we add tiny bowls of Royal Canin Baby Cat, and canned food mixed with yogurt twice daily, they've begun to learn to eat. I watch them grow and learn to play. They learn about the litterbox, they have their own small one next to mom's larger one, it all begins as a game, what a fabulous bucket of sand we've given them to play in, but soon enough they learn it's proper purpose. At about 10 weeks old our human children begin to play gently with the kittens so that their socialization skills will be complete when they go to their forever family. These first weeks of life are so important in the entire life of these kittens, if they're healthy, sweet and litterbox trained at 16 to 18 weeks they're going to be an adored member of their new household for the next 12 to 18 years. I take those first risks, I wake up in the middle of the night to check moms and babies, my oldest daughter tends them throughout the day while I'm at work, we don't take trips out of town as a family if there are babies here. Our life revolves around the health, well-being and socialization of these kittens from the day they're born until the day they join their forever family. When I let them go I cry, they take a small piece of my heart with them. I'm proud of the kittens we raise, we have a limited breeding program, we only sell a few kittens a year and we spend the time to insure that those kittens should bring many years of joy to the family who has given them even a bigger piece of their hearts. So when I say that I absolutely will not let a kitten leave before 16 to 18 weeks of age, this is why. Most of our kittens are spoken for before they're born, but I don't want anyone to get attached to a newborn that doesn't make it through all of the stages that come between birth and 16 weeks. The first 10 or 12 of those weeks are critical to that kitten's survival, sometimes they just don't make it through those earliest days and weeks. When I don't post pictures of newborns, this is why. When I refuse to take your deposit before 12 weeks, this is why. There are too many stories out there about bad breeders, selling kittens early or sick and those kittens get to their forever home just to break their new family's heart. It's a breeder's responsibility to keep that kitten long enough to insure that it's healthy at delivery and has every chance of bringing many years of pleasure to the people who just added this new member to their family. So if you want one of our kittens, you may have to wait for a bit, when I sell a kitten I also sell my reputation for producing and delivering healthy animals with sound temperaments. I've been doing this for almost 14 years, I've had the pleasure of being one of the beginning hairless hybrid breeders, I've invested my heart, my life and my family's life in raising these wonderful creatures that we share our every day with. I won't sell a kitten before it's time, I'll know when that is, you just have to trust me on this ... after all, you're asking me to trust you with the forever well-being of this baby, so please understand and let me send it to you when I know the time is right. We only raise a few litters a year. If you want one of our kittens please understand that I will post pics here when any are available, if I don't respond to your email enquiries it's because I just don't have anything new to tell you. I work full time, am raising a human family & I spend all the time I can caring for our cats, please understand that I never intend to be rude, I just need 12 more hours in the day and haven't found a way to obtain that yet.
